Resisting My Ex-Bully
I muttered, looking around my empty, concrete cell decorated with a single light bulb.
“You should be thankful,” a weak female voice sounded through the wall. “At least you still have the strength to shout.”
My breath hitched. I shifted closer to the wall, to the source of the sound. “Are you... Yan Hao's prisoner?”
“I'm his insurance,” she scoffed.
I couldn't miss her specific accent. My heart began to thunder as I asked, “What's your name?”
“I'm Satoh Haruka,” she said.
A faint smile curved my lips. I found her. Not the way I thought I would, but I found her. “I know who you are,” I breathed out as a shiver of relief coursed through my body. “You're Ryuu's mother.”
