Dreaming of Flowers

Dreaming of Flowers

I wasn't about to wreck a home. "So dumb." I wipe my eyes on my knees, but the tears don't stop. I look up and can see people making their way through the trees towards me. I sniff and rest my chin on my hands. My eyes trail down, and through my blurry vision, I can see dozens and dozens of flowers blooming around me. I furrow my brow, wiping at my eyes again and moving to sit on my knees and crouch over the flowers. I hadn't wiped my hands on the ground, but they were still blooming. Pink ones, purple, white. Still smaller than a quarter, but slightly bigger than the last ones I made bloom. And there were a lot more of these too. They continued to appear around where I sat as I watched.

Silent Amour

The rest of the pool was crystal clear, allowing them to see the rocky bottom beneath the surface. Next to the waterfall, flowers swayed gently in the breeze created by the falling water, adding splashes of color to the green landscape. Although it was a sunny day, the air was surprisingly cold. The flowers emitted a mood-relaxing fragrance that surpassed even the world's finest perfumes. The scent of the yellow iris flowers contributed to the tranquility of the scene, with their buttery-soft, smooth, and skin-like aroma that felt heavenly. The waterfall sprayed droplets like pearls across half the area nearby. Algae had already painted the rocks a vibrant green, and water leaped onto them a

Auctioned Mates Revenge

Auctioned Mates Revenge

He let out a hissed, “Another ton of river flowers went up for auction. Whoever’s controlling what’s left of Fluorite’s stores is being a tight bastard about it.” My heart lurched as I looked between them in mock confusion, but I didn’t say anything. River flowers was a colloquial name. We called them aquaria flora. They were good for a lot of things on their own, chief among them was painkilling. When mixed with other flower extracts and crushed the right way, they made powerful hallucinogens typically used as recreational drugs. “Did you get into the auction?” “No. It moved too quickly. Would have been good though. White blooms were on sale, though. They should be arriving next week.”

It’s not for everyone because of the dark parts of the story but I couldn’t stop reading it after getting over some parts that made my skin crawl & cringe. There were some incomplete sentences which were annoying. Thought it could be longer to make it more complete at the end.

Great story. There are some heavy chapters to get through so if rape, sex trafficking or abuse are triggers for you then skip this book!!! If they aren't triggers for you then I highly recommend this book. I agree with other comments that the incomplete sentences were annoying.

Beautiful & Battered

Beautiful & Battered

Celeste follows behind. "Yes," she grins. "I read it online. Some streams and lakes branch out from the river Conemaugh. And, fortunately, we might be near one." "No way!" There is a damn stream flowing through mossy stones in front of our eyes. It's not deep, just a little way below our knees I think. The water is the shade of mud lying underneath. The edges are lined with yellow-colored flowers of four petals. The grass is wild, mixed with the algae creeping up the trees along with ivy.

Love In The Mist

Love In The Mist

Fresh smell of earthy moist soil hits my nostrils. Officer Stephanie turns to gaze at me very thoughtfully. Did she suspect that something was wrong, really wrong? I feel a tickle of an insect crawling over my arm and I snap it away gasping. It was a small bug. "What happened? "Officer Stephanie questions. "No - Nothing, "I stammer." Just a bug" Kristen glimpses at me confused. Officer Stephanie then turns to survey the backyard more attentively and her glimpse pauses at the Rose bed.

Night Flower

Night Flower

Except someone had been passing through it repeatedly and with purpose for three weeks. I moved through the trees with the Switch fully engaged, slow and deliberate, footfalls on stone where I could find it and packed earth where I couldn't, each step placed before my weight committed to it. The morning mist sat low between the trunks, the kind of mist that arrived in early autumn and stayed until midmorning, softening the edges of things, making the forest feel like a room someone had left the lights off in. Good cover. I noted it as I noted everything, filed it in the column marked useful and kept moving.

he walks off and kneels next to a small patch of Crimson Beebalm. Crimson Beebalm is a stunning flower. The petals are long and slender and they come out of a hairy looking center that is connected green leaves that look like they support the bud and a long smooth green stem. Best of all, it’s edible so I’ll be collecting some of it for the camp. Wait, what did he say? “It’s obviously either red or yellow, I don’t know of any grey muted colored flowers, the center even looks black.”

True Luna's Return

True Luna's Return

Morana In the heart of the dark forest called Mistwood Hill, where the tall trees stood watch and the whispering wind danced through the leaves like graceful spirits, there was a symphony of sound that echoed through the night. I took careful steps as I monitored the plants along the banks of the river. It was the perfect time and place to find the moonflowers. The moon hung high in the sky, casting rays of light that illuminated my path. Moonflowers are a rare herb used mainly for their healing properties against wolfbane poisoning.

I know I have to keep her talking. Flower?? No… Flower doesn’t makes sense. Why that specific purple flower? I know it’s called a misty bloom… Wait the purple mist? Could the purple mist have something to do with the rogues’ ability to disappear and reappear at will…. Portals! Ciara mentioned them before! Portals are in the mountains!

Excellent storyline and writing style, few grammatical errors, well developed plot and characters. This new writer is ranking up there with my favorite authors. Looking forward to reading more from them.

The Unwanted Prince

The Unwanted Prince

"The Everfrost flower is a flower that grows only on the peak of the mountain known as the Snow Lucradis. As for the Cecilia Waterlily, it comes from the country in the West, which we luckily still have in inventory." "Yeah, get to the point already. We don't have time for your grandfather's story. At the pace you're going, the King would be dead by the time you finish." Susie said as she folded her arms and glanced at Louis from the chair she was seated in beside Xander's bed.
