especially with indie authors who aren't afraid to get specific. Scribd's been a goldmine for me because their subscription lets you trial so many titles without commitment; I've discovered a few fantastic authors that way whose books I'd never have risked buying outright.
One thing I've noticed is that 'mmf' as a search term sometimes gets you mostly dark romance or non-con stuff, which isn't my jam. Adding 'why choose' or 'reverse harem' to the search helps, especially if the author emphasizes the relationship-building between all three characters, not just the steam. There's this one author, I can't remember her name off the top of my head, who writes these incredibly tender scenes where the emotional connection is as intense as the physical—that's the sweet spot for me.
Reddit's surprisingly useful too, if you know which subs to lurk in. The regular book suggestion ones can be a bit prudish, but there are smaller, dedicated communities where people share links and recs freely. You just have to dig a little.
