Dax didn’t even flinch. He just watched me, crimson eyes glowing faintly, hands in his pockets, looking every inch the ancient predator pretending to be civilized.
I spun in a slow circle, arms wide. “Where’s my wine, cavebat? You promised me drunk.”
He arched one perfect brow. “You drank six bottles, Violence. That’s enough for tonight.”
I pouted, like actually pouted, and stalked toward him, bare feet silent on the cold floor. “You’re no fun.”
