Yawning, I take a drink of water from the night stand, before getting in bed and pulling up the covers. Just as I close my eyes, I hear a familiar scratching noise from the closet. Opening them, I bolt up in bed. Bubba, my fearless monster slayer is laying on the floor comatose, but he hears it too and jumps up. I notice that his ears are perked up and he cocks his head as he tries to hear something over by the closet.

Bad. Cash and I were the only ones that survived the Nightmare from our family. Mom and Dad were already sick by the time the vampires came to our home to 'save' us. The vamps were only there for me. They had found out about my IQ and wanted my brain to join them. I had insisted that they saved my brother as well. I may have made it a deal breaker.

They did everything together and cuddled in her bed whenever she was lonely or sad . Every time they were together, Juana felt good, but she couldn't hide the fact that her greatest fear was losing her. The first one said. He was tall, around 6'2 with wide shoulders and muscles that you could see printed through his turtleneck shirt. His brown eyes held mischief and his smile showed a straight set of white teeth. His brown hair was slicked back and fit him perfectly showing off his high cheek bones.

Drew said as he stopped his movements and looked at me with worry and curiosity, "Moony!" Dime's voice shouted from behind my door "AJ, come in quick!" Drew shouted as he continued to watch me, "I'm coming in," Dime said as she opened the door to see me on the floor shaking in fear and Drew not moving from the bed; "What did you do?" Dime growled as she slowly moved to me "She was having a nightmare," Drew explained as he watched Dime and me "Shit," Dime swore as she got on her knees and crawled over to me.

*Timeline: April 19th, 2022. 6:00 AM. Malibu Beach House.* *[SFX: SILENCE. THEN LAUGHING. THEN 2 WEEKS. THEN US.]* *6:00 AM. [SFX: MONITOR. THEN GIGGLE. THEN NOT ALONE.]* No alarm. No 2 AM. No barking. 6:00 AM. Nursery monitor. _Static. Then giggling._ Two voices.

she whispered, taking Damon hands in her own. "I know, I like him. Its Moni I'm worried about" Damon said, pulling his mate in and wrapping his arms around her. "She has spent so long pushing down her feelings, I'm worried she won't be able to let herself be loved. She throws a joke at every situation, always trying to keep everything light and upbeat. She thinks I don't know, but the nightmares she used to have as a child, the nightmares she still has now..." he shuddered, remembering her anguish-filled screams.
