Aiden was happily dipping a warm piece of crusty bread into a small pot of golden honey, his cheeks slightly sticky, while Leo lay curled up comfortably beneath the grand wooden table.
"You know, Mom," Aiden said with the complete, unblinking seriousness only a child could muster, "Leo explicitly says into my mind that sweet honey is significantly better than raw rabbit meat."
Leo lifted his shimmering silver head from beneath the tablecloth, his glowing eyes blinking. *I never said those exact words, Aiden.*
"You thought it, though," Aiden countered with a giggle.
*Well... yes, I did,* Leo admitted smoothly, resting his chin back on his paws.
