"Then kill me." Cael stepped in front of me. "Take your revenge for two thousand years of imprisonment. But let her through. Let her reach the academy."
Morrigan studied him. Then, surprisingly, she smiled. "No. I don't think I will. Because watching you try to save the prince while slowly failing—watching you break under the strain—will be far more satisfying than a quick death.
