Bridget, from the side of the room, mutters under her breath, "Oh, you've got to be fucking kidding me." Victoria Mireaux rises from her seat slowly. "Excuse me," she says “Who are you, and why are you interrupting my meeting?" Lina smiles wider and gives a little bow of her head, as if mocking respect. "Lina Hartwell," she introduces herself smoothly. "A friend of Madam Julie's... you know, the Madam Julie. Perhaps you’ve heard of her?" The CEO blinks, visibly caught off guard at the name-drop. Madam Julie is practically royalty in the fashion world.

“These decorations look like something out of a history book. Vines? Wooden tables? This is supposed to be my Luna ceremony, not some village feast.” The pack members, standing nearby, exchanged uncertain glances. Liana cleared her throat. “Lady Matilda, the traditions—” “I don’t care about traditions,” Matilda interrupted coldly. “This is the modern age. I refuse to have my ceremony looking like it belongs in a medieval era.” She gestured around her. “This entire setup needs to be changed. Immediately.” Liana hesitated. “But the sacred traditions—”

Mary Redferne I didn’t sleep well, firstly because I am not in my bed, and secondly, because that kiss messed me up. I couldn’t stop thinking about Joseph Lachlan. My mom is a big fan of his mother as she is one of the few women who smashed through the patriarchy and built a business for herself. My mother loves Joseph a lot too; she says he is a good person, which is a rare thing nowadays. Obviously, she never met them, but she reads a lot of articles about them.

Lady Montana decided to check by herself, maybe she got lost, but still, she didn't find Zendaya. So she decided to just mind link her, "I should have done that from the start", Lady Montana laughed at herself, she just had many things going on in her head currently besides all these. "Young lady, where are you?", Lady Montana mind linked Zendaya, but she did not get any response. This was when she panicked, she was already getting ready to go all Mama wolf to find her daughter when the young lady tapped her, "Sorry mum, I just got carried away."

I can see big posters of a Tundra Magazine, one of them is a huge poster of my mom looking like a goodess, with her blonde hair blowing and her white gown looking like it was painted onto her body. I sigh in something like nostalgia and walk back to the table with Madison. My ass is just hitting the chair when two teenage girls run to us. "Oh my god, Lily Carrington?" one of them squeaks. I blink in surprise and try to remember if I know her, "Is it true? What your ex is saying?" "Huh?" I ask, but I feel Madison's hand on my forearm when I try to get up, "What ex?"

It was time everyone remembered that. We stepped into the elevator, the murmurs of the staff fading behind us. As the doors slid shut, Matilda continued, “Miss Sarah Lolthammer, the actress from Hawaii, has been contacted to be the brand ambassador. Mirela arranged it. She’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow to sign the contract.” I stiffened. Sarah Lolthammer? Her name hit like a slap. Memories of tabloids flooded back—pictures of her draped on Cole’s arm, her smug smile, and the way he had looked at her. He had never looked at me like that.

Or worse, his side chick? Madeline didn't know how to put her emotions into words at that time. She felt both angry and upset. However, after crying about it for a while, she decided to pretend it never happened and continued lying to herself to keep up with her facade of being the luckiest woman alive. Still, she couldn't truly be at peace with her life as her suspicion grew. A few months ago, a model had suddenly gained immense popularity in the entertainment circle overnight, and her name was Lacey Houston. She was appointed as the official ambassador for Bloomberg Group's wedding gown business.

I watched ahead at the red carpet that led into the front door of the tall house like a tongue protruded out of a mouth. " You've got this, Layla. " Maddy says from beside me and I looked back at her. Maddy's dressed in a glittering blue bodice dress, her hair brushed to the side as she'd wanted them to be done. And for once in a lifetime she was wearing proper make up. I on the other hand was dressed in a floating fish tailed yellow dress that exposed my cleavage. My hair is pulled into a ponytail as I wasn't exactly dressed up yet for the show. I was running two minutes late.

“The Lady is coming for the Trials!” Sera sat up a little, frowning. “The… who?” Elira gasped like Sera had just sworn in class. “You don’t know who Lady is?” Seraphine blinked between them. “Clearly not. Who is she?” Elira and Maren exchanged a look that was equal parts disbelief and horror. “She’s the Lady,” Maren said, dragging the words out like they explained everything. When Sera only raised an eyebrow, she huffed. “Okay, listen. She’s the most famous person in the whole realm. Everyone knows her.”

She continued yelling drawing the attention of others in the restaurant. “Mind the way you speak!” Mattoe shot at her. “Hey! Didn't I tell you to mind your business. Who the hell are you? I'm talking to my daughter in law who is the CEO and heiress of the Estaban group.” Lady Marta shouted this time. It was obvious she's doing this on purpose to get my attention and get me to succumb to her demands. “Oh my goodness! What is happening over there?” “Did I just hear her say daughter in law?”
