Bound by Agreement: The Alpha's Contract Wife And Twins

                    CHAPTER 1

MONTANA'S POV

I watched as Alpha Luke walked through the clearing, where I weeded, his powerful form exuding dominance with every step and move.

As his intense gaze swept over the pack, I could not help but feel a shiver of fear run down my spine, averting my gaze not to be caught staring.

In our pack, status meant everything and as an Omega, I was at the bottom of this status, constantly overlooked and dismissed by those of higher rank.

Alpha Luke, even looking at me, would be as if I were a trophy or something worth ravishing. To sum it all off, life being an Omega here was not great at all, hardly any happiness and even if there were happiness, the sadness covers it all up.

I huddled in the shadows, trying to make myself as inconspicuous and small as possible. 

I am Montana, a weak omega, and I did not need another reason to hate myself or for the whole pack to gang up against me. What if by seeing me, he gets irritated and I get punished?

My days were often filled with loneliness and rejection to the point that I tried getting used to it, but it still breaks me. 

Although, I find peace when I spend some quiet time alone in the woods, away from people.

I do not think I made myself as little as I wanted too, as I could feel Alpha Luke's gaze linger on me. I could not stop myself from looking up, our eyes meeting.

His intense stare sent a flutter of unease through my chest mixed up with fear and despite knowing the huge difference in our statuses, I felt like he might be somehow fixated on me. 

Like drawn to me or something, in a way that got me excited and also terrified me.

He got closer, inspecting my work on the farm where I was weeding, "Clean and done properly. Well done, Omega," he said to me.

I tried controlling my shaking hands and nodded, "Thank you Alpha," I said, grateful and immediately went back to work.

But there was something unsettling about the way he watched me, like there was this hunger in his eyes that somehow made my skin crawl. 

"Why would he even have hunger for me in his eyes", I shrugged the feeling away, "There were much hotter females here that he could be with, if he wanted too," I told myself, scolding myself on getting too ahead of myself.

As the days passed by, it seemed like Alpha Luke had been giving me more attention with his looks. He has not said a word to me since that day but the intensity in his eyes when he watches me, says a lot.

For the first time, I felt like someone was actually interested in me. In fact, I knew he was, and it made me ache with longing because I have never had someone have that kind of interest in me.

One night when he approached me, his voice low and very persuasive, I knew I should have run or not agreed so quickly, but his promises of love, care, and protection seemed all too real and irresistible, and so I gave in.

I followed him into the dark and into the room, my heart pounding in my ears. As Alpha Luke's touch sent shivers down my spine and body, my thinking faculty had reduced a bit.

When was the last time someone touched me? The last time someone craved me like he does? It made me feel special than I ever could. An Alpha craving, a low Omega like myself.

All I could think about now was the desire to take that course through my veins. It would have been threatening to consume me, but this time it did consume me whole.

"Mmmm", I moaned softly as our bodies tangled together.

I felt a sense of reckless abandon wash over me, removing the nagging doubts and fear that had plagued me for so long.

But even as I accepted and surrendered to Alpha Luke's touch, a part of me knew I was playing with fire.

But life is about taking risks, right? Maybe this one would be worth it.

As I enjoyed his touch, our skin to skin, I was still having little inner conflicts and I think at some point he sensed it and told me, "Relax beautiful, you are everything a man would want, and I regret not finding you soon. I think you would make a good Luna, too."

And he pushed into me, making me gasp. I blushed at his compliment and muttered softly, "Thank you Alpha."

After that night, it had now been some weeks we had been seeing each other, and we had become official and planned a wedding. His parents were against him marrying an Omega, but he stood by me always and defended me.

That made me love him even more, and I was thrilled I had found my mate, yes there was a connection that night.

The wedding was now two days away and we had a colossal fight. In my defense I had no idea where this or his whole attitude was coming from, but it hurt a lot.

"Why do you treat me like this?", I confronted him with trembling hands and a very heavy heart, "You say you love me but usually you do not act like you do or care about my feelings."

"So now because we are to be married, you think you are my equal?", he raised a brow at me angrily, stepping closer.

I gulped, moved backwards a bit and shook my head, "I just-"

"You just what Montana?", he asked me, clearly he was getting more upset, "You just what? You lowlifes, once you have tasted a good life, you get greedy for more. You disgust me."

As his cold and dismissive words cut through me like a knife, he did not for once stop even when the pain in my face and eyes were visible, he said everything he had to say until he was satisfied and then left me there, broken and alone.

The next day I heard nothing from him, I had even gone to look for him but no one told me anything about his whereabouts and our wedding was next.  

I spent the whole day crying, but later that evening, I got a message from him, letting me know that the wedding was still on.

Maybe he was not mad at me anymore after reading my messages. I was so glad and then immediately another message came in and he invited me to a party.

"Okay I will be on my way", I replied quickly, a huge smile on my face as I wanted to look very nice for him.

So I got to the party and searched for him but could not find him, "Sis", I felt someone hug me from my shoulder.

I turned my face to see it was my stepsister. And what is she doing here?

"I noticed you were looking for Luke, you are a bit to the party though but right on time", she said to me.

"Well then, where is he? Have you seen him?", I asked her while looking around.

"He is on his way and he personally told me to make you have some fun if he is not here when you arrive, so please have a drink", She offered.

Was this his way of apologizing? Well apology accepted. I smiled and took the drink and from there, it was drink after drink, dancing and more drinking. 

My stepsister of course kept making me have fun, making me drink a lot, normally I do not take that much but I guess she is just doing what Luke wanted her too.

The next morning I found myself in a strange bed and I felt different. I was not sure about what had happened but..., "Oh no, I am going to be late for my own wedding."

When that thought crossed my mind, I quickly got up, dressed up and left the room I found myself in.

The day of the wedding was here. The venue was not in the pack though but a considerable hall, so I entered a car, wanting to reach home quickly and get prepared, "Sorry who are you?"

I asked because there was a man in the car and I do not think I have seen him before. Is he to be my escort?, "Are you my escort?"

He did not even crack a smile, nor look at me, "My name is Alpha Lincoln, I am definitely not your escort, you entered the wrong car."

I gasped and apologized quickly, getting out and finally finding my ride.

I soon arrived and the chatting voice of people coming from inside cheers me up and gives me this assurance that people are currently waiting for me. 

The moment I entered, everybody turned to look at me, and I reacted back with a smile. I took more steps forward and in front of me was Luke and someone who looked like my step-sister kissing passionately. 

My jaw dropped at the hurting scene in front of me, my eyes trying to be certain it was seeing what they just saw. I was perplexed and had to pinch myself to see if this was real or just a dream. My vision became clearer when my stepsister broke off

their kiss, turned and smiled at me mockingly.

"We wanted to surprise you, dear sis. How do we look together?"
