It's finally happening. Kael's beast is returning from dormancy

"Let’s just say we have a common enemy. And I’ve got the resources to take him out. All I need is your cooperation." Jake hesitated for only a moment before nodding. "I’m in." As they shook hands, a small part of Jake wondered if he had just made a deal with the devil. But it didn’t matter. All he cared about was Sofia. And he’d do whatever it took to get her back. Back at the Blackwood Estate I stood in front of the mirror, my fingers tracing the crescent moon on my hip, my mind spinning with the prophecy I had just read. A Beast-Bride. A mark of destiny.

She drew me in without even trying, and that realization unsettled me to the core. The Beast, though, had no such hesitations. It tormented me relentlessly, whispering dark urges and filling my head with scandalous visions of her. It shattered any peace I might have hoped to find. The Beast was wild, primal, and insatiable—a true Lycan’s essence, untethered by human restraint. It demanded a mate. And it had chosen Oliver.

“I don’t know why. But I’ve served long enough to know that when Gorvane looks at someone the way he looks at you, it means one of two things: destruction, or something worse.” Kaerith’s fingers curled against the fabric of the dress. Her nails scraped the smooth silk. “I don’t want anything from him.” Madame Marita gave a dry smile. “That’s not the point.” She picked a stray curl from Kaerith’s shoulder. “The Beast doesn’t have affection. Not for his court. Not for his mate, Vythea. Not for his whores. And not for you. He takes what he wants, and when he’s done, there’s nothing left of who you were.”

It’s always a touchy subject for him because she knows he’s loyal and faithful to his wife. The Beavers have this stupid motto; Family always comes first. “Honey, you know I love you.” His voice softens. Of course, he does. “Then I will only rest when I watch him suffer the same way he did to me! I will take him down. I will destroy him, his money to the last company he built. I will end everyone he loves, and finally, that woman he’s obsessed with!” She breathes hard, her face flushing. “I will rest when that woman is dead!”

"You…" Felix hesitated, his handsome face tinged with sympathy. Among the beastmen, he was unusual—one of the rare few who preferred human ways of living, and thus he knew a little about our kind. Yet even so, he had never imagined that human society, so advanced and prosperous, could still leave someone to live as miserably as I had. He couldn't understand my parents. Even in the great beastman clans, where offspring were numerous and favoritism existed, they followed the law of the wild—survival of the fittest. Favoring the weak over the strong was something unseen and unheard of.

I'd gone to bed exhausted, my mind spinning with everything I'd learned about Kael's past and the people who'd died, but sleep brought no peace. Instead, I was thrust into memories that weren't my own—fragments of that terrible night bleeding through our bond. *Silver eyes blazing with uncontrolled rage. Claws tearing through flesh. Screams echoing off stone walls. The metallic taste of blood in the air. Children running, crying, falling...* *No, not children. Please, not the children.* *But the beast couldn't hear the reason. Could only kill, destroy, eliminate every threat it perceived and everything was a threat now. Everything had to die.*

But the occasional flickers it gave showed that it was not dead, but alive! The strange crystal in Aiden’s hand was a treasure from his family. It was called a Beast Crystal and it was used to locate members of Aiden’s race by inducing hallucinations of uncommon beasts in the minds of the victims. If the victim slept soundly without any hallucinations, that person was a regular old human. If there were results, then it meant that the person was of Aiden’s race – the Beastman Race! The user of the crystal could tell what was happening because the crystal allowed them to view the contents of the dream through the eyes of the conjured creature. Beast: is everything ok at home? Me: perfect. I have a surprise for you. Me: actually, it's more for me than you but since you're paying for it we should pretend it's for you. Beast: I can't wait! If it is tight and black, I would like a preview.

Before l can think of something to do my eyes almost popped up from their sockets when Venus's shifted into a beast too. I was so shocked that l didnt notice the beast black in color almost teared my fresh. If it's not a big brown beast that bounced on it, l would have been dead by now.. The brown beast teared the black one and it gave out aloud howling. It kept on struggling against the brown who was in control. I took a glance at my sorroundings still shivering. And realization hit me hard that there is no single human left apart from me. Where is Alex, Ron and other students? Did they also turn into beasts like Venus.
