A CEO asked and Amy looked at Chloe with a smirk. "That's her." She said while pointing at Chloe with her hand. Everyone dramatically looked at the person she was pointing at and their eyes widened in shock as their jaw was almost touching the ground. "Chloe Jones. She is my boss, the new CEO of the Jones enterprise." Amy replied with a smirk.

She said panicky. "Which...which of the boss are you talking about?". I asked in a trembling voice. I just hope it's not what I'm thinking. "The one and only Aryan Ahmad,he's the CEO of this company, so as many other companies". She said. "What?!! Subhanallah! Aisha, what have you done this time around?... I never knew, I've been seeing my boss since yesterday,I even call him sort of names...idiot...arrogant...I even told him he's such a lazy man for been jobless"

How can you do that? I glared at him. I wasn't going to let him talk to me like I was nothing. The name landed like a hammer. “ The CEO of King's corporation.” Her body froze, her eyes went wide.‘ That's not possible, he can't be the CEO, what about Tyler, how is he a Beaumont when Tyler doesn't even have a brother?’ Her lungs for some seconds forgot how to work as he stepped closer, leaned forward, and added as his voice dropped an octave. “ And I am your boss. Then she added, “The one beside the break room.” Steve blinked and I noticed. “But… ma’am, that office isn’t-"” “Who is the boss here, Steve?” She asked without raising her voice Steve nodded immediately. “You are, ma’am.” “Then do as I said.” “Yes, ma’am.” I didn’t say anything but something about that didn’t sit right. We stepped out of her office and the door closed behind us. For a few seconds, we just walked, then I glanced at Steve. “She doesn’t seem like the easy going type.”

Is this a joke? I couldn’t answer. Because it was impossible that she meant Alaric Satanas. If it was really him, then why was he my boss? It’s not that I believe he’s a CEO, but let’s say he is—why would he be my boss when my project isn’t even related to drugs or anything about pharma? And if he really is a CEO, why is he here in our department? I’m not complaining about our workplace, but there’s nothing fancy here. Just simple desks and chairs for employees like me, and simple rooms for bosses.
