I turned my attention to Lanie. "Me?" I asked, as if I didn't know what the topic was. "Yes, because you know, you're with Mr. Abad, he's a kind person and to his employees. You'll surely be the new CEO's secretary, unless he says you're fired because he doesn't like your work or you, you know… I mean. They say our new boss is like a tiger." she whispered, because other people at the table might hear. We might get fired out of nowhere just because we're talking about the new boss of this company.

She couldn't hold it back. This was the kind of love she had always craved. "How are you feeling now boss?" Catherine asked. Catherine had always been scared of her boss. Ever since she was employed as the COO, she had been at her best, trying to make sure she give her best and win her boss's approval.

So, here she was. She's usually smart enough to handle Damon's schedule before she started on the other assignment. Still, sometimes her excitement got the better of her, and she's left in a panic, rushing to put together her boss's weekly meetings into something of a schedule that hopefully looked professional enough to keep her from being chewed out.
