I snorted. “You think? So, you don’t think I’m completely bat-shit crazy?”
He offered a small, reassuring smile. “Not in a million years.”
I smiled back at him, relieved beyond belief. I loved this guy—my best friend, the brother I never had. He always had my back. But something was nagging at me, something I couldn’t quite shake.
