For a moment, I remained stoic, unmoving, and not even sure whether I was still alive or I was stuck in some kind of alternate universe where I just got out of the closet, and given away my very first damn kiss. I swiftly opened the door and slammed it shut, making sure that it was locked before I plopped down on the dusty couch. “That was close,” I said as I leaned my head on the backrest. I looked up at the ceiling as I remembered what had just happened in the packhouse. I lightly touched my lips and still felt some sparks on the sensitive area. I bit it and remembered the way the handsome man moved his lips against mine. Oh god. That was my first kiss. I just lost my first kiss to a stranger! To someone I don’t even know the name of! Well, granted that he is my mate, but it still doesn’t change the fact that we don’t know each other very well.

I closed my eyes and waited for contact when I felt real, warm, and soft lips on mine. It was my first kiss. It was sweet. It was hot, light but short. "WOW!"

By the third kiss, her lips moved hesitantly against mine, soft and unsure, but she was trying. Relief unfurled in my chest like a gentle wave as I leaned in, brushing my lips against hers. His lashes fluttered down, and he leaned in, our lips almost touching. I surrendered to the moment, closing my eyes and tilting my mouth up to his. As our lips met, a low, husky growl rumbled through him, sending shivers down my spine. I melted into our first kiss, savoring the gentle pressure and the sweet sensation of his lips on mine.

I nodded and he moved in. The kiss was slow and tender. Jonathan was so gentle, it was like he was afraid he would hurt me. This was my first real kiss and it was…..nice. I was not complaining but I always thought my first kiss would be electric, sparks would fly but that was not there. I felt cheated. The movies lied to me. There was no passion there. The oven’s timer went off, making us break off the kiss. We got back to baking but I couldn’t get my mind off it.

Also, it was not that he was marrying me forcefully. I grabbed my gown tightly when he leaned down to kiss me. He lightly touched his lips against mine at first and then softly kissed me just for a few seconds before breaking the kiss. This was not a passionate or hungry or intense kiss but was a gentle kiss without the involvement of the tongue or fighting for domination. ‘I lost my first kiss to this beta, Just to deceive him.’, I thought grumbly.
