NOTE: THIS STORY IS NOT EDITED!! THIS IS MY FIRST STORY EVER. DO YOU HEAR THAT EVER? I WAS INNOCENT AND DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT WRITING A STORY. BUT IT IS BEING EDITED NOW SO BARE WITH ME. WITH THAT SAID, ENJOY>3. Hannah "Crap!" I shout as I stubbed my toe by accident, stepping out of my room. "What happened this time?" "It's nothing, I hurt my toe. I'm fine though."

And just like that, a new idea was born. Two weeks later, they hosted the first Story House Open Mic Night. Survivors from all walks of life—young, old, rich, poor—stood under string lights and told their truths through spoken word, music, and dance. Marla read a poem she’d written about monsters under beds and the power of found families. River read a passage from his novel. Skye stood last, heart pounding, holding her journal. “I used to think stories had to be neat. That they had to begin and end in predictable ways. But life isn’t a book. It’s a heartbeat. Messy, beautiful, flawed—and worth it.”

Genuinely. This is my first book. My first story. My first time putting something out there that came from my head and my heart, and honestly? That's terrifying. It's like showing someone your diary, except you've decorated it with dragons and heartbreak and inside jokes that only make sense to you. There are going to be typos. There are going to be plot holes big enough to drive a truck through. There might be sentences that make zero sense on the first read, and characters who change personalities mid-chapter because I hadn't figured them out yet. And you know what? That's okay. Every writer starts somewhere. Every story begins as a messy, chaotic first draft that only its creator truly lo

I still remember it like it happened just yesterday, it's plain as day in my memory, the first time I saw Melvin Cross, the love of my life; I was a three year old kid who just got lost,I wandered the streets of California for days, I had just arrived there from Seoul, where I lived with my Asian Mother, I had never seen my father and I didn't even know I had a twin sister and my Mother's face I could barely remember, I was just a three-years old kid, lost, scared and hungry as I have been wandering the streets for three days, I was so hungry I thought I was gonna die soon, all I had on me was a locket necklace, which I remember my mother telling me not to loose it, I cried and cried, but fo

Every single thought and emotion that Amani had ever experienced rushed into Malakai’s mind and soul. He witnessed her entire life unfold, starting from her earliest recollected memory of blowing out candles on her first birthday, her face beaming as her parents applauded. He saw her joyfully riding on her father's wolf through the woods at the age of five, laughing and cheering. He witnessed her snuggled up to her mother in bed, listening intently as she read bedtime stories. Each memory presented itself vividly, as if they were his own. But one memory stood out among the rest.

Also I didn't want to focus the story on myself, because that would have been selfish and not honorable to everyone else who experienced much worse. Plus I wrote this story to share how scary first dates can be. I'm not saying that having a first date is bad or no one should date at all. But first dates can be extremely nerve wrecking, since you only have one chance to impress the person you are dating. I went on a lot of first dates, the majority of them have been either awkward, strange, boring, or depressing. Some of the first dates I've been on have been amazing, romantic, and beautiful. But for the most part, most of my first dates has been not the greatest. This story is about a first

Why does she feel like a stranger when she stares at the busy street of Athens, she wants to be like one of them and without learning their language, she will never be one of them. Lucky her, Hussain did try to teach her but damn, the language was not as easy as she thought it will be. She could only get the basic things like please and thank you. "What are you thinking about my love?" Hussain asked kissing the crock of her neck. That was her weak point and he knew it but he decided to be using it against her.

I strolled over to the projector, hit play, and let the pictures do the talking. There they were, Sheila and Yoel, in photos a little too close for comfort, a tribute to their 'lost angel', and the signed document of an abortion that bore Yoel's name. The room erupted in whispers, and the smiles on Sheila's parents' faces turned to stone. I just looked at Sheila and smiled. "Sheila, you told everyone that Yoel was your first love, and that you were pregnant with his child. "Now, with your parents here, the ones you adore, and in front of all our friends and family, I want you to tell me again.
