“It is an honor to receive you in our humble pack.” Humble. The Alpha’s mansion stood at the end of a cobblestone avenue and had absolutely nothing humble about it. It was a three-story construction with marble columns, balconies with golden balustrades, and a front garden that included a fountain with a wolf statue plated in what was clearly real gold. It reminded me of the fat man’s mansion with the red robe, but with better taste. Barely.
