A quiet memory surfaced inside my mind. I had read this before in my past life. The story had stayed with me for years because of how bittersweet and beautiful it had been.

~ Elena’s POV ~ The library was always a calming place for me a small refuge from the chaos of my thoughts. The air carried the faint scent of old paper and polish, a comforting mix that made me feel safe. Somehow, that's quite laughable. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Love is denying oneself for another. Adam chose himself when he refused therapy.
