I stepped closer and pulled it out carefully. My eyes widened slightly when I read the title. It was a novel written by Sun the Morning. A love story about the moon and the sun. A quiet memory surfaced inside my mind. I had read this before in my past life. The story had stayed with me for years because of how bittersweet and beautiful it had been.

I clicked on the book immediately. The title of the book loaded slowly, like it wanted to build suspense, and when it finally appeared, I let out a quiet breath I didn’t realize I was holding. “The One I Was Never Meant to Love.” That was the title of the book and it felt almost disbelieving to me that I had to laugh. I didn't know that it was going to be something like this because it was kind of weird to me. Probably things like this had become the author's new style, messy love and complicated feelings.

Rachel Solis was a nurse who used to pursue Xavier obsessively. Years ago, I had miscarried our first child when I caught Xavier cheating on me with her.
