THIS TIME
I know that the present has been good on us so far, our family and our engagement, but it's only fair for him, to finally say his piece.
I never want him to wonder about the past, but for the present and future, to overshadow it.
Sitting here alone as time passes, I start to second guess my decision and the thought of the aftermath, of their conversation, makes me all the more nervous.
I jump a bit, when the door suddenly opens and he enters.
I quick glance at the clock and I take note that it hasn't even been 8 minutes, and already he's back.
I try to take a hard look at him, wanting to see what his mood is like, but I'm not given a chance to do so, when he walks over to me.
