“You planned this whole ambush?” Nana lifted her chin, her eyes softening as she looked at them. “I wanted to see it for myself. I wanted to be here to see you both. This day means so much for you two, I couldn't miss it for anything. Not when I can still walk. Nana Milky smiled and let go of Zoe. “Helios…” Zoe slowly turned to face him and met his cold gaze. “H-Hey…” “What are you doing here?” Zoe was about to open her mouth when Nana went in front of her. “She’s here to visit you, of course.” “Send her away, Nana. I don’t want to see her,” he said.

“Dominic was an asshole, and I was an asshole for listening to him, but time has passed. We’ve changed. Him especially.” I didn’t say anything. Only nodded slowly. “Dominic misses you. And Nana too, especially since she’s been in poor health lately. She’s hoping you can visit her sometime.” I did miss Nana. “I will visit her. Thanks for telling me.” Aiden nodded in acceptance. Rachel hurried down the stairs with her bags and the three of us left Rachel’s store. She locked up and after saying goodbye to each other, we went out separate places, Aiden and Rachel in Aiden’s car and me walking.

Rose smiled and Sylvia released a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Nice to meet you" Sylvia smiled back. "Okay, so who is she? Is she your girlfriend!" Rose faced Damien with furrowed brows and Sylvia waited anxiously for his answer. "Err.. she is.." Damien stuttered not knowing what to say. Nana stood at the gate and looked at the packhouse and the hall and the accommodation buildings and the grounds. Everything she had come to with one bag from a medical facility in a distant territory where she had been medicated for two years for something that was not an illness. She looked at it for a long moment. Then she looked at me. "Thank you for knocking on my door," she said. "Thank you for opening it," I said. She got in the car. Drove through the gate. I watched until she was gone. Then I stood at the gate alone for a moment.

There was a special corner where visitors could write cards and hang them on a wire wishing tree. The waiter came over with a professional smile. "For two? Couple set?" "Sweetheart Latte, Promise Cake, Couple Special. Which one do you choose?" Nina almost wanted to reject the message. Without a game goal, visiting a place like this felt embarrassing. Nina opened her mouth to refuse, but Arthur went ahead. "Black coffee for me. Tea for her." Nina stared at Arthur. He didn't even ask. Arthur was right. Nina always drank tea.

“Of course. What is it?” Nina hesitated, choosing her words carefully. “I just wanted to thank you for taking care of my mother. But I’m curious, how long have you been working here?” Nurse Kelly’s eyes flickered with something Nina couldn’t quite read. “A few years now, besides, it's not professional to disclose that, but it's been a few years now.
