“Nearby,” Bless corrected. “The last point isn’t in the center of Crescent, but it draws from its territorial network. It’s hidden beneath a place that has earned collective trust over the years.”
“Nami,” Tris whispered.
The young woman was pale.
“Her bakery,” said Isaac. “The Winter Garden.”
“Is Nami human?” I asked.
“It seems so,” replied Liv. “But her identity doesn’t exist prior to seventeen years ago. There’s no birth record, no school records, no family history, and no medical records. She only appears when she opens her first shop in Crescent.”
