"Okay, so elders are the politicians of the supernatural world. For each pack, there are between 4 and 11 elders assigned and they look out for us. If there was something bad going on, they stepped in to help when they could and helped kick people out of packs before we went through with it.

Hunter, Scott and I had been together for many years, the two of them are the sons of the Great Elder and the First Elder respectively. The Elders also had an hierarchy. The Great Elder was the most powerful and Hunter was his first born, followed by the First Elder who was Scott's Father, then followed by the Second Elder and the third Elder, Elder Helena, who was Amber's Father. Then, it stopped at the tenth. We had eleven Elders in the Pack. Although the Great Elder was the most powerful, if the other Elders ganged up on him, he would not be able to retaliate at all, nor would he be able to have a say.
