We were playing with forces we barely understood.
"We have to try," I said, gripping the artifact tightly. "We don’t have any other choice."
Draven hesitated for a moment before nodding. Together, we moved to the center of the chamber, placing the artifact on the ground between us. Its light grew brighter, pulsating as if responding to our decision. I closed my eyes, feeling the raw energy coursing through me, linking me to the ancient magic of the tomb. With a deep breath, I focused on stabilizing the crumbling walls, willing the tomb to stop shifting, to stop crumbling apart.
