And I’m hiding so much from the Clan, and they’re the closest thing I have to a family, now.” I worried at my bottom lip, and let out a tiny, frustrated sigh. “I want to do right by them, but you’re the right thing for me. And I’m worried that they won’t understand that. But – but they’re the only family I’ve got, and I don’t want to lose them, either.”
