Deus Mortis: Vendetta

He is so happy because he will finally be able to escape this chaotic world and they will be able to fulfill the simple dream of Akira and his as a normal couple. When he arrived at the condo, he immediately took a shower first to be able to clean and to make sure if he hadn't been scratched before. As the water flows through his body you can see the blood of his victims clinging to him gradually flowing into the sink. Azrael’s body is full of scars from his wounds from his previous missions and on his back is a large tattoo— “Deus Mortis” which in Latin means “God of death” is what the organization called him because of the number of impossible missions he has accomplished.

Never Again

Never Again

This year they had added a zombie theme. "I'll choose next," Ed whispered as we enter the big, old main door. "And you're right, Sel, I'll choose carousel or probably Ferris Wheel," I laughed and pushed him inside the lobby. I caught him holding Jane's hands, and as promised she did not let go. Their fingers interlaced as they walk the dark and dusty lobby. I smiled shaking my head. There were three doors to choose from, but before the three of us could talk about which door to open, zombies started appearing out of nowhere giving us all a fright, and we just started running and pushing the door.

Death Wish

Death Wish

She asks with a giggle a chuckle leaves my lips, "I'm majoring in music while in college," "Do you like to play instruments and sing?" Zeus asks and I nod a small smile gracing my face "Can't wait to hear that," Poseidon says earning a glare from Death and a shrug from me ~ "So when can I go back?" I asked Death for the 100th time as we were in a room by ourselves and the Gods and Goddesses were discussing some things about me. "Ugh," he groans before snapping his fingers and we were back in Mika's house

Infernale

Infernale

It's like my tears are flooding my lungs. Memories suddenly come flooding back like a stream of images, sounds, and smells. Sunshine, soft breezes, flowers, chocolate scent, and children's laughter mixed with mine and Elio's. Then, tires screeching, screams and gunshots. Finally, silence. I collapse on the ground.

Dark Moon

Dark Moon

My name is Elora and I reside at the Blue Mountain Packhouse. I have a slim figure, long curly blonde hair which I usually wear up in a bun so it is out of my face. My eyes are a deep blue which I love. I am not a normal girl though. You see I am a shewolf, my rank at the packhouse is an omega. I don’t know my parents because they passed away when I was just a tiny baby, so I don’t have any memories of them. The only thing I have is a necklace locket from my mother. I have never taken it off because it makes me feel close to her spirit.

Until Death

Until Death

Theme: "prancing hall Have you ever witnessed a war before? I mean a battle between mortal and chassis, beast against critter, dark power against a human projectile that has been beguiled with a sacred geyser, which was meant to kill and burn flesh. If the battle were taking place on dry ground, it would have been better. However, the reverse is the case. The battle is taking place in the air, and any mistake might lead to our death. Not only will our deceased be neglected, but Gaea, Gondor, and the Middle Realm will be destroyed. You might be wondering what concerns me about Gondor and the Middle Realm. Don't forget that my dad was trapped in Gidamorah, which is in Gondor. Moreover, Ryan's

Once Forbidden, Now Forever

Once Forbidden, Now Forever

AIDEN'S POV This was my first time in Del Mar, but sadly, instead of the reason for visit to either be for business or vacation, it was for a funeral. Nora's father's funeral - Mr Carl Simmons. The first person Nora introduced me to when we arrived was Magdalene. I had heard stories about her even as far back to when Nora and I dated 6 years ago. The middle aged woman had been excited to meet me although her excitement couldn't really show because of the grieve that was on going.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

“No one messes with a Sinners’ girl and gets away with it.” “I wasn’t going to hurt her. I just wanted her out of the way.” The guy’s wild eyes darted from one person to the next. “Isn’t he with one of the opening bands?” Jace asked. “Hell’s Crypt?” “Dim Reaper?” Eric asked. “No, they stopped touring with us a month ago,” Jace said. “Hell’s Crypt is the new one. With the movie monster theme. Vampire, werewolf, Frankenstein. Kinda lame.”

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Love this well written book! Thoughts & emotions are conveyed beautifully! The author makes you feel like you know the characters intimately w/o being excessive or mundane. Hot & steamy w/o crude vulgarity! I wish we could give gems at the end of chapter but that’s the app, not the author’s fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nevermore' is this dark, poetic whirlwind of a story that digs deep into the duality of human nature—how beauty and horror can coexist in the same breath. It’s like Edgar Allan Poe’s spirit haunts every page, but with a modern twist that makes it feel fresh. The protagonist’s journey through grief and obsession mirrors Poe’s own themes, but there’s also this raw, almost rebellious energy to it. The way it plays with madness and creativity, as if they’re two sides of the same coin, really sticks with me. It’s not just about tragedy; it’s about how art can emerge from the darkest corners of the soul.

What I love most is how the story doesn’t shy away from ambiguity. Is the protagonist a genius or a lunatic? Is their vision divine inspiration or delusion? The lines blur so beautifully, and that’s where the magic happens. It’s a love letter to outsiders, to those who feel too much or see the world differently. The Gothic atmosphere is thick enough to drown in, but there’s also this undercurrent of hope—like even in the abyss, there’s something worth reaching for.
