Night Slayer

Night Slayer

“When your dad was listing the things he didn’t want… what did he mean by… ‘no fucking cowbell’?” For the first time since the attack, Jo found herself laughing. She’d let that slip by her, but Zane was right. He had said that. “Well, when Elliott died, apparently, Hannah decided his funeral should be a little different than the norm. Apparently, the funeral started with the song, ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper,’ by Blue Oyster Cult.” She remembered how her mom would always laugh when she told that story. Thinking of Hannah, a Guardian and the second in command of all of the Guardians made her wonder where the hell the woman was. She’d thought all along that Hannah was with Jamie--but she hadn’t bee

Forgotten Embers

Forgotten Embers

Kypher commented, and she could sense the tension in his voice. “It’s the maurium,” Adrien informed them. “They treat it with magic to enhance the darkness. If the magic is removed, the maurium collapses.” “Collapses!” Kypher said, astounded. “Is that why it turns to ash when it comes into contact with pyrite, then?” Adrien nodded. “Maurium is nothing more than the decayed remnants of planetyroid held together by the particles of residual magic. It is exposed to exceptionally high levels of entropy, which makes it extremely unstable.”

Royal Moon

Royal Moon

Although with different spelling, but with the same pronunciation. Carra didn't know whether to feel lucky or sad. She was now in a country known as Morica in a medieval earth, under the Athurian empire. The Athurias are the ruling clan of lycans, wolf shapeshifters. In this world, there were humans, lycans, vampires and others. It seemed that she had passed through something supernatural, a portal or so, to arrive here. For a person who didn't believe in such notions, it was a bit difficult to accept. A woman in a brown garment came in through the door carrying a basin of water. She heard the young mistress called green bamboo, and she too quickly took a few steps forward. Seeing Carra awak

Dark Power

Dark Power

The mysterious black business cars are slowly being transformed into battle vehicles, underneath powerful armored engines appear, and the car like a scarab rushes into battle. Jennifer froze, unable to believe this was the convoy just now. It's amazing how Ivan made them after all. The cars are changed in appearance and structure, slowly running straight into the forest. The space outside was extremely dark, each sound of insects calling was extremely eerie. Jennifer involuntarily shrank back, leaning against Ivan. "Afraid of what?" Ivan looked at her leaning against him, his eyes ferocious. “Who said I was afraid? It's just that I've never experienced this before."

Shadow Moon

Shadow Moon

"I won't let them harm us." Aunt Cleo's voice sliced through the air like a warning bell, her words laced with urgency and gravity. "Aqua, you need to grasp the true threat of the coven. They're not just ordinary casters. Each possesses unique abilities, ranging from unnaturally swift regeneration and inhuman strength to the sinister power to manipulate creatures and even people, turning them into spies. Some even boast of an unnerving form of immortality, extending their lives far beyond the natural order. And worst of all, they have the terrifying capability to absorb the powers of other casters."

take me off her blacklist. Back then, I loved her. Even though it felt childish, I was still willing to indulge her. But now that I tried doing the same thing she used to do, I finally understood her. It really felt damn good. Deleting someone who wasn't worth it from my life felt like setting myself free. What I didn't expect was that the very next day, Bianca showed up at my company. I was reviewing a contract the department had submitted when my assistant, Max Young, knocked and came in.

Never Meant to Be

Never Meant to Be

At first, her laugh was wild and terrifying, but slowly it faded away until I couldn't hear it anymore. Sirens wailed in the distance. Caleb was screaming my name, frantic and loud. Somehow, I knew I was laughing too. Maybe it looked ugly. But I was satisfied. The ending wasn't perfect, but it wasn't all bad either. I was never a good person, and I still hated Kayla. If I had to go, I might as well take her down with me. Haley would take care of everything after I was gone. I didn't have any regrets anymore.

Hiding His Heir: The Rejected Luna’s Return

Hiding His Heir: The Rejected Luna’s Return

The "First Breach" was a sensory unweaving of the North’s foundations. As the "Abandoned Drafts"—the wolves made of "Redacted" static—poured through the black-and-gold door, the vibrant atmosphere of the "Unmapped" realm began to stutter. These were not the "Genesis Legion" or the "Mosaic" refugees. They were the "Scentless Echoes"—versions of the Blackwood and Thorne warriors who had been deleted during the Architects' various resets. They carried the "Ink" of their own cancellation like a terminal plague.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.
