New York was a city I liked; the weather was one of my favorites, and it was so vast that you could easily get lost, which suited me because I occasionally got lost in its streets, without bodyguards, without anyone else but myself against the world, immersed in a sea of song, in a sea of peace that the hustle and bustle would always provide me.

Even the air tasted different, metallic where the Bahamas had tasted like salt and fruit. Damian’s arm stayed around my waist as we stepped out of the private car. The Blackstone Tower loomed above us, its glass shimmering in the winter sunlight like something untouchable.

I am so sorry for not updating this story T_T I've had a rough year. I basically moved to the USA from Nepal as an international student and the changes have been hectic. I am almost done with my freshman year. I live in New York, and everything is so fast-paced here that I even have difficulty breathing sometimes. I romanticized new york sm and am still romanticizing it. But in general, it is tough to survive here. I am a little more stable now so I will try to update the chapters on time.
