Hot Summer In California

Hot Summer In California

A heat is no joke this year. Well, it's always like this, but then I'd say the same thing next year. Not knowing what to do in the middle of the night, I grab this adventurous novel, The journey to the Centre of the Earth, and try to make my brain tired so as to finally force my body to do the same. At last, I don't remember when I closed my eyes, until I wake up in the morning wishing it were Sunday. Well, one can only wish sometimes. It's already seven-thirty as I move hurriedly around my room.

Deep Inside

Deep Inside

Derina Night wasn’t supposed to be here. Her father’s warnings still rang in her head, Never cross the bridge. Never give a Coby a reason to know your name. But the bridge called to her like a dare. The rusted iron structure stretched across the river like a scar, separating the pristine world of the Night family’s polished reputation from the shadow-soaked empire of the Cobys. Everyone in their city knew the truth: the Cobys ruled the underworld, and the Nights ruled everything above it. They were oil and fire, dangerous when apart, catastrophic when together.

THE NIGHT SHADOW

THE NIGHT SHADOW

She had already sprinted past the turnoff for her apartment building; leading these unknown killers to her safe house would be suicide. She needed to lose them in the dark, because if she failed to break their line of sight, she would likely end up as a corpse on an autopsy table by morning. The path ahead was pitch black, unlit by any city infrastructure, but her enhanced night vision handled the darkness without issue. Fortunately, she knew these back alleys like the back of her hand. Reaching the absolute end of the concrete maze, the narrow path finally opened up into the wide, brightly lit expanse of the multi-lane highway.

Night Shift English Version

Night Shift English Version

I slowly walked towards the hospital while trying to fight off my sleepiness, I couldn't let sleepiness win especially since I was transferred to the night shift. I could already see the tall hospital building and the people in the waiting area, the ambulance at the entrance to the ER, and the families crying and taking care of the paperwork for the morgue. "Yhra, is it your shift?" the guard at the table joked at me as I approached for my time card. "Yes, it's my first day on the night shift. It's all of a sudden," I replied then he checked my bag and gestured for me to be okay.

Stuck Between Two Alphas

Stuck Between Two Alphas

I stood there for a while, not scrubbing, not washing, just standing. Eventually, I forced myself out. I dried off, slipped into my soft nightwear, a simple black tank top and matching shorts, and walked back into the bedroom. The lamp on my nightstand cast a warm glow over the room, bathing the beige sheets and bookshelves in a honeyed light. I picked up the novel I’d been reading. Something romantic, dramatic, and overly cliché, but good for escaping. Usually. But tonight? I flipped it open, stared at the first page, then closed it right back again.

Mated to the Night Wolf

Mated to the Night Wolf

" I stare at the side of his face for a moment. I am Frozen for a thought hits me. There is only one window in the library. ------------------------------------------- My fingers quietly sift through the pages of the old Kings' journal, Xiirian Adonis Prime, The 8th Night Wolf. The sound of the slight brushes of pages and my small breaths are drowned by the snores of the other slaves that are already fast asleep, against the silence of midnight. It is well into the night, but I cannot sleep. Not when Night Wolf's words seem to bleed through the pages. He lived a life crueler than I ever imagined. His grief. His loneliness. I thought it was parallel to mine but is far different. It is deeper

Well worth the wait! Your 55 chapters are more like 250 chapters of other authors. Your chapters are long, detailed and fully packed with more intrigue. The guard? I’m team Kayos, but it’s so beautiful how tender the guard was with her to let her know he will honor her…but I think there’s more.

This book is so good. I love the writing, the characters, the story and the execution. Perfection at its core but I have a problem, please could you release a chapter at least once a week. It’s not fair because I’m basically hooked on this book and I don’t get regular updates.

One Night, No Names

One Night, No Names

Clara It’s deep into the night when I jolt awake, my chest rising and falling with sharp, rapid breaths. Sweat clings to my skin, my heart hammering like a drumbeat in the dark. The nightmare fades in fragments, flashes of shadows, a voice I couldn't quite place, the overwhelming feeling of being chased. I sit up slowly, the bedsheet twisted around my legs, and take a moment to ground myself The soft glow of the moon filters through the curtains, casting long, pale shapes across the room.

A Night With My Stepbrother

A Night With My Stepbrother

She was not a victim. Not yet. She typed a quick reply: “Who is this?” No answer. Only the cold silence of the night. ————— Back in the penthouse, Alessandro stared out over the city once more. The night was deepening, swallowing the skyline in darkness. His mind was a battlefield of suspicion and rage. He couldn’t reach Isabel. He couldn’t trust anyone. His empire, his life, his heart—they all felt like fragile glass, ready to shatter at the slightest touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve always been drawn to stories that explore the human condition, and 'Night' does this with unflinching honesty. Elie Wiesel’s memoir isn’t just about the Holocaust; it’s a raw, personal account of survival, loss, and the struggle to hold onto faith in the face of unimaginable horror. What makes it a must-read is its ability to make you feel the weight of every word. Wiesel doesn’t sugarcoat or dramatize—he simply tells his story, and that simplicity is what makes it so powerful. It’s a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of remembering history so it’s never repeated.
