Just before the movie begins, a knock on the door sounds and I sigh, climbing from my comfortable seat to see who it is showing up. “Hey. I – uh – heard there was a movie night.” Narin sheepishly says as I open the door. I chuckle and step aside, inviting my Beta to join us which he happily accepts. With everyone finally settled and Narin comfortably sitting on the floor with Cassandra, movie night commences.

But of course, Eli had to yell something from the kitchen and ruin the moment. So we settled in for a movie instead. Ty and Eli curled up on one end of the couch under a blanket. Nova took the middle seat. I slid in next to her, leaving just one tiny pillow between us. “Lights off!” Eli yelled. Darkness. Except for the blue light of the TV casting soft shadows on Nova’s face. The restaurant usually opens by 7:30AM, it would be a very long time but I have no choice.
