“Then I guess we better give him what he wants. Rogue, take out the needles.” Rogue gives me a knowing smile before he opens up a satchel and removes several six-inch needles. The needles look like knitting needles, but instead of hooks at the end, they’re sharp and extremely painful. Rogue was the first Assassin that I brought on when I became the South American Board Director. The first thing I taught Rogue was how to use the needles for the purpose of torture. I use the needles to dig them into vital organs, which causes slow, excruciating pain to run through my victim’s nervous systems. It’s a very painful way to die. Rogue prefers to use a gun, but I enjoy my needles.

Nate had not spoken yet, gulping when he saw Dante's fingers drop the knife beside him and reach for the next button on his dress shirt. When Nate realized what he was doing, he instinctively leaned downwards, his mind completely pushing away the assassin murderous rumours and all the threats Dante had mentioned, instead reaching for his hands and stopping him from continuing down the placket. "What the fuck are you doing?" Nate pushed his hands away, closing the other buttons as well and hiding the chain back into his shirt.

I thought I could handle this on my own, thought I could bring Zephyr back without assistance because I’m her mate, but it's not enough. “Did you see the person? Why would she kill these shifters?” Cedric asks. “They got to her,” Avani says as realization dawns on him and he looks at me. He and I have worked together long enough. The bounty hunter frowned, leaving behind an afterimage, disappearing from Ash’s sight. As expected of a ninja in Japan, speed was their absolute advantage. In the next instant, Ash sensed an immense threat looming over his back. He turned around abruptly and dodged the sword. Another sonorous clang. The bounty hunter had shifted behind Ash to try for a sneak attack. However, he underestimated Ash’s deftness. Ash used the katana in his hand to parry the other man’s slash. And then, the two exchanged a dozen blows in under ten seconds. The other party narrowed his eyes and glared at Ash, a hint of smugness surfacing on his face.

"The person we are talking about is standing near the east wall." Silas moved quietly and got into position. The person, in the mask suddenly jumped at him. I yelled out "Behind you Silas!” The bond really screamed through me. Silas spun around his blade slicing really clean through the air. The assassin fell to the ground.. Then another assassin emerged from the shadows. This one was faster and closer, with a dagger that was flashing in the light. My heart was beating fast. I shouted "Another video game!" because I was so excited, about another video game.

Mylan jumped and flipped in the air landing on Nix's back. “I told yall Lynn and her grandma are ninja assassins, I ain't lying. Yall seeing the same shit I'm seeing. Ain't no way they be walking on air like them old ninja movies and not be assassins.” Ji'lahni said, as she fired her shot gun shooting an alien between the eyes. Lynn just rolled her eyes at Ji'lahni, she already told her they weren't ninjas or assassins. “Tavie why are you guys back her? You were supposed to be heading to Asia to help my brothers.” Lynn said, looking at Tavie.

They turned on their computers, and as usual, they registered two new characters and started afresh. Nicole had always chosen assassin-type characters, which had extremely high damage rates but low health rates. It was almost difficult to win with this kind of character when encountering a competent swordsman player, making assassin-type characters a very challenging to play. Zeke thought Nicole would choose ghost hand-type assassins as before, not expecting that she had chosen a shooter emperor who glowed in faint gold this time. He scrolled through what was left until he came on Assassin. It looked sleek and deadly, with all-black armor and access to a variety of razor-sharp weapons. Not only that, but the skills and powers it came with sounded pretty awesome and insane. Tornado Attack, Shadowblade, Triple Assassinate… Just their names drew him towards it.

Finally, I turned to look at him. I let my gaze trail over his taper fade, the messy blond hair that refused to behave and those stupid innocent blue eyes that made people trust him instantly. He had the face of a saint, smooth lines, sharp cheekbones, a mouth that curled too easily into a smile that could make anyone feel safe. But Olek wasn’t safe. He was the Syndicate’s golden boy; the number one assassin, top of the kill board for ten damn years. I was fifth, which wasn’t bad considering I’d only been in the game for six years.
