Wild ride of an episode, right? No — Nobara does not die in episode 24 of 'Jujutsu Kaisen'.

That episode closes out Season 1 with a lot of emotional weight and some brutal moments, but Nobara comes through alive. What the episode really does is highlight how tough and stubborn she is: the animation, the sound design, and the way the scene staging gives her room to be both fierce and vulnerable. You feel the stakes, but the show leaves her breathing at the conclusion, which was a relief for a lot of fans in my circle.

Watching it back, I focused on how the episode sets up future tensions while giving each character a moment to reflect. It’s the kind of ending that makes you want to rewatch earlier fights and notice the little character beats you missed, and for me it kept Nobara firmly in my list of favorite, memorable characters.

I watched it with my heart in my throat; the episode throws a lot at you visually and emotionally, but the scene leaves Nobara alive. She takes some brutal hits and there are tense, almost-final-feel frames, yet the story keeps her in play at that point.

I got chatty with friends immediately after watching because the pacing makes it feel like anything could happen. Episode 20 is more about the escalation and the emotional stakes than a definitive loss for her. If you want the short reassurance: no permanent death in that episode. Personally, I was relieved but also braced — the show makes surviving feel like its own kind of victory, and that carried me into the next episodes with a lot more investment.

Nobara Kugisaki, a popular character from the Jujutsu Kaisen series, was seriously injured during a battle with Mahito. In chapter 132, her entire body was damaged by Mahito's Idle transfiguration. However, her fate is left ambiguous, leading fans to speculate about her death.

Despite Nobara's damage, she maintains her resolve even during the face of death. The authors left us on a cliffhanger, keeping the fans on their toes till the next chapter.
