“Exactly!” Rose chirps promptly. “And I have a wonderful one, too,” she looks down at the baby, who is likely sleeping. Her eyes glisten with motherly love and adoration. “Angelo,” she says, “It means the messenger of God. An angel. Just like he is.”
“Angelo,” I try the name on my lips and a sweeping smile claims my face.
“It’s beautiful,” Lizzy perks up dreamily.
“I love it,” we all turn to find Julie with tears spilling from her eyes. But then she laughs, wiping them with the back of her hand. Rose walks by her bedside and gently guides the baby to her arms.
