Liviana hums. “Right,” she agrees.
“Besides,” Marianne starts, a step in Liviana’s direction as she adds, “You’d lose, anyway.”
Stood dumbfounded, Liviana scoffs, watching the woman smile and mutter a goodbye before she passes her. “Wow,” she comments under her breath, turning when her names called once more.
“Oh, and Livi,” Marianna starts, paused in the doorway of the restroom. “You may wanna touch up your face there, honey. You look like a hot mess and it’s really unattractive.”
