Before she'd even finished exclaiming, another crash was heard, followed by another, and another, and another. "Mr. Jepson! That's Ms. Sallow's oil painting! You can't throw the whole frame to the ground— "Mr. Jepson! Those are Ms. Sallow's acrylics! She mixed them herself! You can't just mix everything together— "Mr. Jepson! That easel belongs to Ms. Sallow! She got it from overseas and that's the only one in the world, you can't break off the legs—" With every bang and crash, my heart sank deeper and deeper into the pits of my stomach.
