Alpha's Regret: His Rejected Hybrid Mate

Alpha's Regret: His Rejected Hybrid Mate

"Now, go wash your hands. Dinner’s almost ready." He nodded and headed to the bathroom. I watched him go, my heart swelling with love and aching with old pain at the same time. Five years. It had been five years since I left Grant territory. Five years since I disappeared in the middle of the night. Five years since I’d seen Kyril. Sometimes it felt like a lifetime ago. Other times, it felt like yesterday. I shook off the memories and headed to the kitchen of my modest apartment. It wasn’t fancy—not like the Grant mansion—but it was ours. Safe. Happy.

Five Years Too Late

Five Years Too Late

Five years of marriage. Then I saw his post. “Happy fifth anniversary to my beautiful wife. Five years with you still feels like the beginning.”I smiled without even realizing it. Today is going to be a good day,I told myself. Damian and I had been married for five years. Five years of loving him, adjusting to him, building a life around him. He had been away on a business trip for months now, and I had been counting down the days to this one. He promised he would be available just this day and I believed him.

Waking Up to Five Years Later

Waking Up to Five Years Later

I had failed her. "I understand, Mom. Don't worry. I'll take a few days to adjust. Once I finalize my divorce, I'll return to the company." She studied me carefully, as if trying to confirm the truth for herself. "This time… you really mean to divorce her?" I gave no reply, only a heavy, silent nod. Confusion clouded her features. She couldn't understand why, after five years of relentless persistence, I had suddenly let go. "Mom… Jake isn't my child."

Five Years and Countless Loyalty Tests Later

Five Years and Countless Loyalty Tests Later

"We partied too hard last night and forgot to use protection—don't forget to buy morning-after pills for your wife." Looking at the woman's smooth bare back and the red mole on her neck in the photo, I felt absolutely nothing. Again. Five years of marriage, and this wasn't the first time. Kathy liked to test me this way. She called it her "little experiment." The first time, she "accidentally" left a receipt for condoms on the nightstand. I got angry and confronted her, but she just smiled with contempt. "Why are you so petty? My girlfriends and I bought that on purpose just to see how you'd react." The second time was on our wedding anniversary. A guy showed up at our door with a bouq

Waking Up From A 5-Year Dream

Waking Up From A 5-Year Dream

The stars above glittered faintly, their light scattering over the rippling waves below. He never came. I sat on the deck, my gaze vacant, fixed on the endless expanse of the ocean. Memories of the past five years swirled in my mind like fragments of a shattered mirror. His warmth, his promises, his gentle presence—they all surfaced, only to fall apart into jagged pieces. All of it had been a lie. Every tender moment, every kind word. Now, it felt like a cruel joke, hollow and mocking. Before dawn, I made one last call to him. This time, his phone was off.

Five Years of Lies, The Last Chapter

Five Years of Lies, The Last Chapter

My hand froze mid-cut as I was slicing her steak. My brain went numb. My vision blurred. "What?" My lips trembled as I forced the word out. "That night with Ryan five years ago. I got pregnant." Jessica didn't hold anything back. She even let out a small sigh of relief as she said it. "It's better that you know. I've been tired of hiding it for five years." I didn't know what to do with myself. I turned to my mother-in-law.

And I didn’t remember why we were in the library. Until Mia said, “We just saw the book.” And I said, “What book?” Damian’s POV – After We reviewed our journals. Only Mia remembered the book. Only Nyx remembered touching it. The rest of us had blank entries. Even I, who never left her side, had nothing logged for that hour. “I think the book doesn’t want to be known,” the Fifth said. “I think it exists only long enough to remind us of something we chose to forget.”

MATED TO THREE, DESPISED BY ALL.

MATED TO THREE, DESPISED BY ALL.

A bitter breath left my chest as the memory passed through my mind again. As the seconds continued to tick by, the regret only deepened. Regret for the words I never said. For the chance I never took. But regret was useless now. There was nothing I could do to change the past. Nothing I could undo. I had no choice but to live with it. Five years had passed since that night. Five years that disappeared faster than I ever thought possible. And yet some things remained frozen in time. Cyril had never fully recovered his wolf.

I really, REALLY hope she never EVER gets together with her abusive mates or even forgives them for their torture and cheating!! Please, author! While I normally prefer a good redemption, here it isn't believable, especially since there is a perfect man, that treats her right, saved her & wants her!

No one is more annoying than her so called family members… I mean that’s your blood and you treat her like that? Let’s not even get started with the alphas… my heart goes all out for Melissa, I’m so rooting for you girl… and can’t wait to you see you scale through all this. Thank you author for this

Five Years of Exile Taught Me Obedience

Five Years of Exile Taught Me Obedience

The sharp pain suddenly reminded her of the numerous cuts and injuries littered all over Jacob's body. Just how painful could all those injuries have been? How much had he suffered after being abandoned on a deserted island for five years and then brought home only to be treated like a lowly servant in the past few days? Chelsea's hand shook as she reached for her phone and dialed Jacob's number. However, there was only a robotic sound at the other end of the line. "The number you have dialed is not in service." She sank to the floor in a daze, crawling over on all fours to Derrick's feet as tears streamed down her face, ruining her makeup. All her usual elegance was gone.
