Just off its coast was one of the country’s most famous tourist spots, the island where the great gothic abbey of Mon-Saint-Michel was built. The City of Rouen, Normandy’s prefecture, was one of the largest cities in medieval ages. It boasted the gothic style cathedral, where the hero Joan of Arc was executed in 1431. Even though it had been affected by the Hundred Years War between France and England, it remained a majestic city.

Then I ducked in after her, and the door shut behind us with a firm click. The ride through the city was surprisingly peaceful. I'd half-expected some over-the-top security detail or even hidden tension, but Mr. Duvall was calm and professional, pointing out landmarks and statues as we passed. The windows were down halfway, just enough to let in the scent of fresh baguettes and sweet pastries wafting from bakeries we cruised by. "That's the Cathédrale Saint-Louis," Mr. Duvall explained. "Built in the eighteenth century. Still rings its bells every hour."

“I’m not in the mood.” I give him a curt smile. “Good news. Electricity did not cause the fire at the Cathedral of Notre Dame. It was let me check my notes… ‘A woman who looked remarkably like Bronx Mason’s new wife was running away from the cathedral, but that’s impossible because they live in the United States’. After the fire, they found two organ pipes were missing. Supposedly, these two organ pipes have the same tone as Satan’s voice.” I flip the slide again and motion to Musu. She points to the screen. “This woman convinced a bank teller to hand over twenty thousand Euros in Brussels.”

Paris—every inch of it—was spread out in front of me. I walked around the platform. Notre Dame. Le Palais. A thousand other incredibly beautiful landmarks I couldn’t begin to mention. The buildings that line every block, every street, their rooftops covered with flowers in random bursts of brightness. Even though the gentle grey of the clouds hovering above us in the sky, Paris from above was so fucking beautiful that it almost hurted to look at it. “I want to tell you a secret,” Ivan whispered, coming up behind me and resting his hands on either side of mine on the railing. “The way you’re looking around now is the way I feel every time I look at you.”

I smile above my wine glass at him and take a small sip. "And good news, I don't have any meetings tomorrow so I get to spend the whole day with you" My heart begins to thump at high speed in my chest, the whole day with Rhodes exploring the city of Paris. Looking at what we got done with half of a day, only fills me with more excitement about what a full day could entail. Our food arrives not long after that; Rhodes's ordered me a pasta that tastes absolutely divine. "What else did you do on that trip? You know when you went to the Notre Dame?" I ask him after I finish a mouthful. Rhodes wipes his mouth with the napkin sitting on his lap and shrugs his shoulders.

Taylor kept checking his pocket, no doubt making sure the ring was still there. We strolled along the riverbank, arm in arm, enjoying the beautiful Parisian afternoon. Cathy was in her element, pointing out interesting buildings and spouting off random facts she'd picked up from her guidebook. "Did you know," she said excitedly, "that the Pont Neuf is actually the oldest standing bridge across the Seine in Paris? Talk about false advertising!" Taylor chuckled. "I think 'Neuf' in this case refers to its 'new' style at the time it was built, not its age."

"If we do it again, then we are never leaving this space, and I believe we are close to our destination." Our first stop is Paris; well, I knew that my beloved would fall in love with the City of Light or, as they also say, City of Love. Now it houses all the finest designer names, well I was mistaken when she told me that she is not a woman that likes such early things. So instead, I took her to the Eiffel Tower, Versailles Palace, Sacre Coeur, and lastly to the Notre Dame Cathedral. For three days, we got lost in the city that is known for its romantic ambiance, gastronomy, fashion, and art. Sadly on our last day, we made a quick trip to the Luxembourg Gardens.

I got on the bus, I actually didn't know anywhere in Paris and honestly I just wanted to go with the wind and the wind led me to a church. Letting out a sigh I stood in front of the church, I googled it "Notre Dame Cathedral." I whispered in awe. My family wasn't big on churches but I heard it was a nice place, we really weren't religious in Banewood. It had an eerie look, it was tall with gargoyles..."Cool." I muttered to myself as I stepped into the cathedral. It felt like a holy ground and I was intruding, although I wasn't in my gothic clothes today. I snuck out unprepared in my nightdress, a white frilly gown I hated but packed in a rush to Paris.

It’s been four days since we came to Paris and four days without any proper rest, I am roaming around the City with Isaac and sometimes together with my best friend Ryle and Hannah. My body couldn't feel the tiredness when we were outside but after we come back to Isaac’s place I feel like my energy got drained to the point that I don’t want to move anymore. We’ve been to Louvre Museum a historic landmark in Paris, France. We also visited Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. We’ve been also to Musée d’Orsay another popular museum in Paris. Isaac and I enjoyed visiting places like museums, we love seeing the arts, it gives you the feeling of the ar
