I set it down on the table next to his bed, making sure it was stable.
He nodded distractedly, barely looking up from the pages he was perusing. "Summarize this for me," he said, pushing the document away as if it had offended him. "I don't have time to read all this." He rolled his eyes.
I bit back a sigh of frustration, and picked up the document. It took nearly twenty minutes to summarize it, but I eventually finished. Daniel kept sipping his coffee during my summary, and nodding his head. As I put the papers down, he looked at me and asked, "Do you have any plans today?" I was taken aback by the question, which I hadn't expected, but it was a welcome surprise. It was like he'd read throu
