Dark Secrets and Dangerous Love

It was a terrible habit she had when she was nervous or anxious. As he sandwiched her hand between his, butterflies swarmed her stomach. He leaned on the table as his finger ran up and down the back of her hand, listening intently as she spoke. "Well, you know that I write short stories for magazines and websites, but recently, I've been thinking about starting to write a novel for some extra cash. I don't have much down, just a basic outline, but I have a good feeling about it. What about you? Tell me something I don't know."

Hate at First Sight

Hate at First Sight

“We need to be like those intrepid explorers of old, who ventured into the unknown and discovered new worlds. We need to have the same unwavering curiosity and thirst for adventure.” “Well, we could try brainstorming some more. Maybe we can come up with some unconventional ideas that way,” says Caroline, in a curt British accent. “Brainstorming is a good start,” Mr. Smith agrees, “But we can't just throw out ideas willy-nilly. We need to be very strategic about it. The Omega Agreement

The Omega Agreement

I lose hours watching people on social media package orders, decorate bakes and restock their shelves, convincing myself it's research rather than procrastination. I've already filled three notebooks with ideas. Business plans that probably make no sense to anyone but me. Lists of suppliers. Prices. Packaging ideas. Names that I change every other week because nothing ever feels quite right. Willow is convinced we should call it The Sweet Spot. Then she says: "The fourth notebook. The one that documents how people describe their experience. I want the template to include a section for that. Not just the clinical data. The language." "I will add it," he says, and he does, right there, at the kitchen table, in the organized efficient way of someone who has been waiting for useful work and who does not defer it.

Miss Brown, Keep It Down

Miss Brown, Keep It Down

“You want me to... start with the weirdest number?” “Exactly! Lead with the juice, Max.” She grinned. “Let’s get zesty!” He stared at her. “You just made that up.” “Of course I did. That’s the point.” Behind her, a new whiteboard had appeared — completely unauthorized — with neon post-its labeled things like “✨ chaotic ideas,” “safe bets 😴,” and “let’s not get sued.” No one dared take it down. No one quite knew who put it up, either.

Nora replied, "I can only teach you the method, to let you know how to write a script. Whether you can write well or not depends on if you're talented. Your comic creation, novel writing, and screenwriting require talent. Inspiration is something you can't steal." Abigail said, "But I feel like I still don't know where to start." Nora responded, "You still have time, don't rush. Go out more and see things, you might suddenly get an idea."
