“It’s too cold for you to cry.”
A shaky laugh escaped him, and I couldn’t help but smile, even through the dull ache in my cheek.
“That’s it,” I said, exhaling a breath that fogged in the cold night air. “You’re mine now. Only mine, Riley.”
His lips trembled, a smile breaking through as he leaned closer. “Yeah. I am. And I love you, Silas.”
I didn’t hesitate. My lips crashed against his, and it felt like the world faded away as I lost myself in him. The pain in my body, the lingering scent of Marcus—all of it disappeared. There was only Riley, his warmth, his scent, his taste.
