No. This book asks me to shut up and watch the enemies-to-lovers pair absolutely ruin each other emotionally and then physically—with very vivid, very illegal levels of detail.

He does not knock—he kicks down the door. He does not beg—he commands. He does not love—he consumes. I quickly turned back to face him, trying to lie with my eyes. “Sir, sometimes ‘handsome devil’ isn’t an insult. It just… means someone is too handsome for me to handle.”

He laughed like a madman and stood highly, forgetting the reason of why he even here this moment. “Spotlight never failed to be reliable as ever,” he said, narrating a damn thing. “You, for sure has decide to show that despicable horns of yours, Coplete.”

The men bowed to him before they left, with their hearts feeling heavy for the poor boy who didn't know what he had gotten himself into. “Do you—” Kon turned, intent on giving the so-called devil peace of his mind. He was more than handsome, with his chiselled jaw, and too-bright green eyes that seemed as if it was trying to suck everyone in. His black hair glistened in the dark, and it seemed to accentuate his features.

I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, each beat echoing in my ears like a drum. “You’re right,” Dominique said, his voice low and menacing. “But since you think I’m the devil, then I’ll gladly accept the name. And you, my dear, will be known as The Devil’s Handmaiden.” My heart raced as Dominique’s words hung in the air, a dark promise that sent shivers down my spine. The reality of my situation crashed down on me with the force of a tidal wave. This wasn’t just some cruel joke or a bad dream this was my new reality. And Dominique was the one holding all the cards.
