The night stretches endlessly, restless thoughts weaving through my mind like an unyielding storm. Sleep eludes me as I grapple with the weight of the impending tragedy. Evelyn's plan to eliminate Hugh and his son on the day of the wedding is inconceivable! I thought such things can only happen in TV series and movies… I pause, toss and turn, realizing that I’m inside a novel, so these things are not impossible. Many times. The outline I started with isn't the story you just finished reading. Characters changed. Plot twists appeared out of nowhere. Some scenes refused to cooperate. Others surprised me so much that I had to throw away my original plans. There were days I stared at a blank page wondering if I had made a terrible mistake by trying to write my own book. But somehow... Here we are. The End. Is this a perfect novel? No. Not even close.

I really like my novel even though it's just a piece of paper that is crossed with dreams like the real ones that I get. This is just a minor concern of mine that I want to address. This is a free-chapter and this is also the newest feature that goodnovel added recently, so I might use it to give you some extra knowledge (Glossary, military structure, plot points, character descriptions) in the future. Since there are so many characters running around in the story now, it might get confusing to keep track of all of them just from their names. Let me know if you like this idea. I asked inside my mind. I stretched my mimic muscles forming a dumb smile, trying to find the words to describe my novel, that wouldn't give him any stupid ideas… But, I instantly got tired of making it all too complicated. “It's about revenge. My main character lost his loved one and he kills everyone who was the part of the plot,” I stated, letting it all go. After all, there were a lot of stories like that before. Acting suspicious about the subject of my novel could only make my situation worse.
