I settled into a quiet corner, hoping to lose myself in the story. The book started like any other werewolf novel, talking about full moons and shifting. But then, I turned the page and my breath caught. There was a picture. Not the usual handsome man turning into a wolf, this was different. This wolf was massive with glowing red eyes and thick, dark fur. The caption underneath read, “Cursed Alphas.” It looked… powerful. Intimidating.

And I’ll have to ask Aldrich if he's willing to offer his blood. After our discussion about how the first Cursed Ones gained entry into Altair, I’m convinced that Werewolves are magical beings as well. If I’m successful in carrying out the ritual, it will prove once and for all that the shapeshifting ability of the Werewolves is indeed a form of magic, and they very much deserve to live in Altair like all other magical beings.

The others followed almost without hesitation, disappearing like ghosts into the trees.

The golden pup’s fur began to crack with glowing lines, radiating a blinding light that made it impossible for anyone to keep their eyes open. “A true Golden Werewolf! I can’t see!” “It’s coming! It’s coming!” Everyone craned their necks and kept their eyes wide, trying desperately to catch a glimpse. Damian laughed loudly. “A Divine Werewolf descends! All shall bow before me! I am the King of the Werewolf Alliance!” As the light began to dim, the pup’s form started to shift. The crowd held its breath. “What is that?” “A black werewolf?” At the very moment everyone expected glory, the golden pup transformed into a grotesque, malformed Omega Black Werewolf.

"Stop acting like we're best friends." Liana looked at the gun held limply by his hand. It was facing down and the safety was on. She charged at him and they both fell, his head hitting the floor with a thud. She winced and tried to get up but he grabbed her hand. She tried to bite his while pulled her down with so much strength that she fell on top of him. She heard a deep animalistic growl and saw his body twisting and fur growing on it. She gasped before he hit her head with a pistol and she felt dizzy. Her world suddenly turned black.

Dione looked at the folder she was holding and closed it and handed it to Peter. “Peter… that wolf in the picture. Is that taken by Dr. Conrad?” Dione asked as he was about to turn his back on her. Without looking back, Peter answered her, “Yes.” And he walked to the cabin. While Dione was left still amazed at what she saw. And while thinking about that, a thought suddenly crossed her mind. Her eyes got widened, and she covered her mouth with her hand. “Don’t tell me… that was an actual werewolf?!” she said to herself. And now, she can’t stop herself from convincing that, that was really a werewolf. She immediately wanted to get the folder from Peter to continue reading it.

Unfortunately, It's apparent that during my summer vacation, I will live in the very place that has impacted my life more than words could fathom alone.
