Heat and Rut
“It’s time.”
“It hurts,” I cried, my body twisting. “Make it stop.”
“Breathe,” he said, holding me. “Let your wolf out.”
I screamed as my bones cracked, fur sprouting, my face changing. It was pain, then power. I stood on four legs, a wolf, my scent exploding. Berlin shifted too, his big wolf next to mine. “You’re beautiful,” he said in my mind, the bond strong.
“I feel you,” I said back, nuzzling him. “The bond’s so strong.”
