I sat for more than an hour or two in front of my laptop, scrambling my fingers on the laptop keyboard, hoping to finish my novel before the year ends. I have the peculiar talent of speaking to no one and plainly sitting down for hours working on my novel and then reading books whenever my brain runs out of ideas.
