The Lone Wolf
The demigod hadn’t even been fighting them seriously until now.
The creature’s clawed hand reached again, this time faster than before, searing through the air like a comet. Aaron shoved Ophelia behind him, catching the brunt of the blow with his blade. The impact was cataclysmic, a shockwave blasting craters across the land.
Aaron staggered, blood dripping from his mouth.
Ophelia screamed, her fire exploding outward in a storm of silver. She hurled herself at the god, every fiber of her being burning with fury. Her flames lashed his face, forcing him to shield his eyes, and for a heartbeat, she felt his emotions and saw his fury.
