Transmigrated Into A Billionaire

Transmigrated Into A Billionaire

This was like a tradition with families in the business world, before denoting crazy amount of money to invincible causes and drawing them back from poor masses, they went around to greet the top notch business families for greetings, fake kisses on the cheek and pretending not to detest each other for being ahead or for have more power and influence than they did. They finally were going to meet the top three, they first met up with the Millers, An overly southern old money family who probably got most of their old money from slave trade back in the seventeenth century or even way back, they had just two sons; Alexander and Philips and from rumours, they were both stuck up assholes as expec

The Work of Grace

The Work of Grace

“As opposed to vieux riche. Newly rich, and lacking the sophisticated familiarity of inherited wealth, as with the ‘old monied’ gentry.” “That’s a bit pretentious, isn’t it?” Andrew glances my direction. “It is. On board this craft, even more so.” “Why?” “None of them are remotely vieux riche. Daniel Prince might be the closest—he and my father were financiers during the westward boom in the late 1800s and profited greatly during the first world war.” With an impertinently arched brow to Mrs. James, Andrew empties his tumbler, setting it down with a deliberately loud clunk on the table between our chairs before continuing.

So, she answered. “Again, no disrespect, but in the New York social scene – behind the scenes you and your family are known as new money.” “Ah,” he said with understanding. “Yes. We Townsends don’t have the type of prestige, connections, and a four-hundred-year long history of being wealthy.” The Townsends have only been what was considered wealthy, not rich, for only four generations. For instance, Catherine’s wealthy ancestors came to America on the Mayflower. The comparison didn’t match up to new money.

From Trash to Titan

From Trash to Titan

"Dorian Zenith." Sophia said his name "The Zenith family is one of the oldest in this city. Old money. Very old. The kind that's been here so long it's started to believe it owns the place.” “Is that so ?” Maxwell processed that information. And now that explained a lot to Maxwell. "Yes, they've never particularly liked the Sterlings. Your father built something bigger than them faster than anyone thought possible, and families like the Zeniths consider that an insult to the natural order.”

Her Secret, the Billionaire's Heir

Her Secret, the Billionaire's Heir

My stomach churns, but I sip the water and take steady, even breaths to calm myself. Mark’s mother lightly nudges my arm and points across the ballroom. “That group over there is a part of the ‘old money’ group. Their families have been wealthy for multiple generations. Some think the ‘new money’ doesn’t deserve to be at these events, regardless of how much money they have.” She leans in and whispers, “I can’t stand the ‘old money’ group.” My eyebrows knot together, and I take another sip of water. “Aren’t you considered old money by the standards you have given me? Why would you hate the people in that group, then?”

A Veil of Ash and Glass

A Veil of Ash and Glass

New money parents called the office, outraged and frightened, demanding reassurances they had no right to ask for. The old families didn’t call. They met. They shifted assets. They counted debts. And they waited to see how far the Sombras would go. Everyone understood, at least at the top, that Sombra power wasn’t the polite kind that came with trusts and trade councils. Their wealth had foundations older than banks and jagged islands, from offerings poured into soil and sea, from something that answered when called if the blood was right. Old money had lived alongside that darkness long enough to be afraid of it.

Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt could not give the family a moment of rest too. The old folks expected money from their kin for the holidays since their savings were spent on Old Mrs. Hunt’s hospital stay. The seniors did not feel comfortable without any money, so they tried to get money from the rest of the family for retirement. John said, “Dad, Serenity’s husband is the York guy. He’s Mr. York, the heir of the York family. I’m talking about the wealthiest family in Wiltspoon. He’s worth billions.”

This book is very good and the plot keeps you intrigued. The only problem is that the entire book is not out after going in 3 years and only 2 chapter are given per day. I have read 3 other books to completion but can’t seem to get this book done because of the amount of chapters given per day.

Small Town Girl

Small Town Girl

Beau Chastain came from old money, and he was marrying new money in Felicity Holstein. The difference was Beau didn't give a shit about the number of dollars in a bank account-probably because he didn't know what it was like not to have them. Those same dollars defined Felicity. This was where old money and new money differed. Old money had always been; for generations, these families were rooted in wealth, so no one alive knew what it was like not to have it. Whereas, new money typically came about with the dot-com era, and they flashed it as often as they did their business cards. And Felicity was definitely a flasher.
