The Alpha’s Moonbreather

The Alpha’s Moonbreather

“Lady Ever—” “No names.” Becky lifted a hand without slowing. “Not mine. Not yours. Not tonight.” The man bowed his head. “As you wish.” “Is the ship ready?” “Aye.” He jerked his chin toward the vessel moored at the far end of the dock. It was a weather-beaten cargo ship, hull patched, sails rolled, the Eastwind insignia freshly painted over with a darker, unfamiliar crest. “False flag, false registry, false manifests. No one’ll track where she’s goin’.”

A Crown Cut with Salt

A Crown Cut with Salt

Freckles had found a fresh broadsheet somewhere and was practising making faces at my portrait when Jas snatched it, tore it neatly in thirds, and fed it to the galley fire. "Galley thanks you," Berrit said. "Smoke's better quality now." I checked lines by habit. The wind settled from flirt to favour. The Wraith took it with smug innocence. "SAIL!" Old Noll's squint sharpened. His arm came up, pointing where horizon might have been if ships didn't insist on ruining straight lines. "Two! Leeward, big belly, pretty paint, Morcant colours." "Escort," Harp added, seeing what Old Noll's bones felt before the rest of us could squint: the smaller sloop tucked in the brig's lee, flying a crown penna

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

From the beach below the ridge, where the blue ship was moored, a new sound began to drift up through the salt-grass—not a mechanical whistle, and not the crunch of an iron hull. It was the clear, resonant note of a brass foghorn, blowing three long, steady blasts from the deep fog out past the breakwater. And as the mist parted, we could see the shape of a third vessel approaching our shingle—not an audit cutter, and not a slate galley. It was a massive, white-painted hospital ship flying the tattered, red-cross flag of the First Era Relief Fleet, its decks crowded with thousands of blank, un-printed vellum sails that were currently filling with our valley's wind.

The Merman, My Man

Or did they sink along with this ship? As we continued our descent, we got closer to the sunken ship, and I could eventually make out some of its features. It was a steamship from the last century, and its exterior was dilapidated. But I could tell that the windows were designed with an eastern element and once wore eastern designs. I deduced that this ship was likely from China or Japan. ‘Is this the ship the old woman from my dream was on when she lost her daughter?’ With this thought in mind, I wanted to get a clear answer. So, I quickly spoke to Dicken, “Dicken, bring me closer to the ship!”

The Island of the Silence

The Island of the Silence

Mara swirled around. Between the rocks outside on the sea a larger ship appeared. Not big as a cruise ship. But big enough. A rusty cutter. Without lighting. Almost noisy. Only the rhythmic stamping of the engine came over. Noah became pale. Elias stepped backwards. And Emilia began to tremble. Mara looked at the ship. A name was painted on the side. In the weak light she could only read a word. Asteria. Then she suddenly understood something. Not slow.

Rejecting the Alpha King

“Our herbs are sought after every year.” As the sun rose higher, the sails of the first ship finally came into view, the white canvas billowing against the clear blue sky, blown by the air behind it, propelling the ships to go faster. The villagers erupted into cheers, and even those busy preparing paused to watch the approaching vessels. From a distance, the ships looked like small dots, but as they drew closer, the details became clearer. The hulls of the vintage ships glistened in the sunlight, and the masts stood tall, bearing flags of different colors and patterns, signifying the various regions they hailed from.

The Pack's Rebels

The Pack's Rebels

Concordia, Six Hundred and Eighty Years Before The changing mood of the crew as they left open ocean for Concordian waters alerted Thaelen and Harithen that they were close, and they left their cabins to stand on the top deck as captain ran up the Greibron and Alden trading flags under the Estreau flag. The sky was overcast and grey, but not all the cloud was weather. Smoke rose from the land in thick plumes. There were many ships flying the Alden flags in the waters around them, and the water was littered with debris. Thaelen could see the cause - a ship slowly slipping into the water. He heard the outcry of the sailors as bodies washed up against the hull.

They have warm eyes and brains that stay alert in our cold waters. They’ve also honed a kind of sixth sense that detects minute electrical fields, from the slightest twitch of a muscle to prey that’s buried under sand. “The problem is when they get sensory overload. The same thing I told you that I’m apt to experience when I’m in Kuma-wani form.” “The bloodlust,” Aki muttered darkly. Sasha nodded. “The few ocean lizards who have permitted us a mental link gave us a glimpse of that. The feeding frenzy.” Aki’s thoughts turned inward. Sasha also taught

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

The distance between the ships slowly vanished. Details emerged. The vessel was smaller than we'd imagined. Elegant. Weathered. Built from silver wood and pale crystal. Its sails were patched countless times. Its hull bore the marks of impossible years. Yet it remained beautiful. Not despite its age. Because of it. Every scratch told a story. Every repair represented hope. The figure stood at the bow. Watching us approach. Watching the Wayfinder. Watching the answer finally arrive. An elderly woman. Silver hair braided neatly down her back.

The Heir's Secret Child: A Royal Scandal

“I thought of you when I saw it.” Her fingers traced the smooth inner whorl. The shell was cool, its weight surprisingly comforting. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” she said. “Thank you.” She wrapped the shell back in the cloth as they reached the edge of the harbor. The smell of salt and tar and old fish washed over them. Nico led her along the quay to a medium-sized ship moored near the end. Its hull was weathered but well-kept. “This is her,” he said, a note of pride in his voice. “The Eirene.”

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

That crossword clue shows up all the time. They usually want the title character's name, MOBY DICK, since he's the big white whale. But sometimes they get sneaky with it and the answer is just 'AHAB' or 'ISMAEL' if they're asking for a character.

I remember getting stuck on a clue once that was something like 'Melville novel about a scrivener' and I sat there forever before I remembered 'Bartleby the Scrivener'. So if it's vague, think about famous lines or settings too—'MOBY DICK' is the safe bet nine times out of ten, though.

Honestly, it's probably that. The puzzle makers know most people will only have read the one book of his in school.
