My Rejected Luna's Revenge

My Rejected Luna's Revenge

It was deep, as a little blood still seeped out of it. I inspected her back and my anger rose. She had more than five big and small fresh wounds all over her back. “And you said that they are just scratches.” I confronted her angrily. “It should have been healed by now, but I guess they had wolfsbane coated on their claws and on their weapons. That’s why these are taking time to heal. But you don’t worry. They will be gone by this evening,” she tried to assure me, but it only made me grimace.

No Way ! Mafia Again ?!

No Way ! Mafia Again ?!

The injury looked recent; the edges were still raw. Dean’s heart skipped a beat, panic flooding his chest. He immediately called the butler, urgently requesting that a doctor be sent over. The doctor arrived swiftly, and after a thorough examination, he spoke with a grim expression. "The wound has reopened and become infected. On top of that, he hasn't rested properly and has been drinking, which triggered the fever. Make sure he doesn’t drink again and avoid any strenuous movements. If the wound opens up further, it could become much worse."

Bound By Bloodlines

Bound By Bloodlines

Dorian sat in his chambers, leaning back in a chair, his body still recovering a little bit. His wound, though it had started to heal rapidly, but it continued to throb with a deep ache. His body’s accelerated healing process was a gift, but it was far from perfect, and the pain served as a constant reminder of how far he had pushed himself. His mother, Ulva, moved around him with grace, tending to the wound, her every motion filled with care and precision.

Proof that the truth doesn’t always win out and really ambitious and resourceful people can get away with multiple attempts at m*rder. “I don’t know. I’ve never thought about that. Scars are just something that stay with you forever. I do know that sometimes the ones that have silver in them will open up if I take a hit too hard, like they are fresh. I never understood that, they are a year old now, they shouldn’t still open up, but maybe that’s the silver, maybe I am too weak to heal from them properly. this is one of the best novels that I have read. yes there were typos and a few blurbs but even with that and a proper publisher it would be an outstanding buy for my bookshelf. I would recommend this to anyone. my mind was so connected to the characters that I cried a couple times too many, lol.

Old Love is not Over

Old Love is not Over

Driving hers brother's car, Rere returned to the hospital. From a distance she saw Dewa sitting alone with hers legs raised upwards, Rere understood that the reason must be because of the mosquitoes. "Wa ?!" There was no answer, it seemed that the Dewa was asleep. Without the intention of waking up, Rere's hand took a bottle of yellow lemongrass oil from hers bag, then slowly she rubbed it on the exposed part of Dewa's body, not covered with clothes and pants. Finished smearing, Rere put the bottle at the foot of the chair where Dewa was asleep in his seat.

Fated to the Shadow Alpha

Fated to the Shadow Alpha

Fresh blood welled from the wound, deep and ugly, the edges red and swollen with early infection. Maren clicked her tongue in disapproval. "Torn worse than before. You've been fighting on this." It wasn't a question. The old healer's eyes were hard as she reached for a clay jar of dark salve. "This is going to hurt." Natasha didn't respond. She fixed her gaze on the tent wall and braced herself. The salve hit the wound like liquid fire.

Beautiful Betrayal

Beautiful Betrayal

Closing in. Like something was waiting... For me to stop breathing. And this time... No one would be fast enough to save me. The pain never eased. It stayed. Slow. Heavy. Wrong. Somewhere deep inside, I understood why. Lycan wounds. They didn't heal like ordinary wounds. They lingered. They burned. As if the body refused to forget what had hurt it. A weak sound escaped my lips. I didn't even realize it until I heard a voice. "Ssh..."

Still healing. But Kael had learned something important. He had learned that even the oldest wounds could be healed. If you were willing to listen.

Rejected Omega, claimed by the Ruthless Alpha

Rejected Omega, claimed by the Ruthless Alpha

Others simply gaped, weapons half‑raised. Kael sucked in a ragged breath. Coughed. Blood sprayed Aria’s face, then thinned as the next cough came clearer. His eyes snapped open. Gold. Sharp. Alive. The worst of the wounds along his side had closed—not fully, not neatly, but enough that bone no longer gaped white through the red. The sickly discoloration of wolfsbane burns had faded, replaced by angry, clean edges of new scar. Aria sagged with relief.

Blessed Luna Rising: A Dark Medical Mate-Bond Revenge

Blessed Luna Rising: A Dark Medical Mate-Bond Revenge

Lyra set the phone down and stared at the wall for a second. Her heart hurt. Her body hummed. Her wolf paced, dissatisfied with half-answers. But for the first time since Aiden had walked back into her world bleeding on her floor, they’d started to scrape at the old wounds instead of just layering new bandages over them. It wasn’t healing. It was controlled damage. And for now, that was the only kind they could survive.

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'Scars of the Past' during a weekend bookstore crawl, and it hooked me from the prologue. The story follows a war veteran grappling with PTSD, interwoven with flashbacks to his childhood in a fractured family. What struck me was how the author, whose name escapes me right now, layers the protagonist's present struggles with his past traumas—like how a simple noise triggers a battlefield memory. The secondary characters, especially his estranged sister who reappears after decades, add this raw emotional texture.

What elevates it beyond typical trauma narratives are the subtle magical realism elements—ghosts from his past literally haunt him, but they’re metaphors for guilt. The writing style’s uneven at times (some dialogues feel staged), but the climax where he confronts his abusive father’s ghost in an abandoned house? Chills. It’s not a 'feel-good' read, but the catharsis lingers.
