The old man's eyes, red-rimmed from unshed tears, met hers.
"May I?" Gina asked softly, nodding toward the photograph.
The elderly gentleman's gaze hesitated, then released, allowing Gina to gently take the photo from his hand.
As she gazed at the faded image, a story unfolded before her eyes: a loving couple, smiling, surrounded by laughter and joy. Tears welled up in Gina's eyes, mirroring the old man's.
"Who is she?" Gina whispered, her voice barely audible.
The old man's voice cracked, "My wife... my Linda. We were married 57 years... She passed away a few minutes ago."
