The sarcasm clearly flew over her head because Jane replied with a pleased smile.
I didn't even feel annoyed by whatever she was trying to do. I was just done with the conversation and her in total.
“My love?” An elderly man called, joining our little circle or triangle.
Jess and I glanced at each other. How was he looking worse than his pictures?
He was taller than us, I'll give him that. Other than that, he just looked like a tall grandfather.
